Pipe Library

ESTIMATOR does not require a preset pipe library. The base library database describes the codes, diameters, materials and schedules, and their relations, as well as a table of productivity hour curves based on John S. Page. A detailed library of all possible items, for reference and material cost, is automatically built as you go.

  • No Preexisting Library. The software calculates labor hours from standard curves, based on takeoff information provided by the estimator, including:

    - diameter
    - material
    - pipe schedule
    - item code
    - inspections

    Using this data, ESTIMATOR builds the library needed for each project.

  • No Complex Setup. Because ESTIMATOR comes with a complete set of pipe and material codes, and is able to build a library as you work, estimators are able to utilize the software on installation.

  • Material Cost Retention. ESTIMATOR retains material costs once they are entered. This information is date-stamped in order for the most recent available information to be available to estimators.
  • Supports Reduced Diameter. Fittings with reduced diameters are supported such that all possible reduced diameters are included in the specs.

Library Codes

All possible diameters and wall thickness are included in the library codes, giving users an unlimited number of possible item combinations.

  • Coded Entries. All fittings are coded to be easily identified by an estimator.

  • Detailed Fittings. Fitting details are provided as user choices. For example, a concentric sewage reducer with one threaded end and one plain end is coded as SW-T1P1-CON, while an eccentric sewage reducer beveled on both ends is coded as SW-B2-ECC.

  • Restricted Codes. Each pipe code is restricted to only the applicable sections for that code. For example, an estimator adding boltups to a spec will be able to select only the applicable materials and schedules available for boltups.
